AHA – Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.


AHA – BLS for Healthcare Providers The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies,
give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.


AHA – BLS Healthcare Provider-Skill Sessions

You MUST have the BLS for Healthcare Providers eLearning (part 1) completed to choose this option.

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Parts 2 and 3 require students to meet with an American Heart Association Instructor to complete a hands-on skills practice session and a skills test. Upon successful completion of all three parts students receive a course completion card valid for two years.

AHA – BLS & Heartsaver Instructor Course

After you become a BLS instructor for the American Heart Association (AHA), you will be able to teach Basic Life Support CPR certification classes. Teaching Basic Life Support CPR classes provides for wonderful experiences. You can also teach HeartSaver® CPR & Basic First Aid for the public. In addition, being a certified BLS Instructor will provide a great way for you to earn extra money on the side and increase your value to an employer.

MEDIC First Aid BasicPlus is a combined adult CPR, AED and first aid training program designed specifically for the occupational first aid provider. This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. This program conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, and the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.
